Seeking an experienced Product Owner to be a part of an account-to-account payments technical squad. In this role you will be accountable for delivering and empowering the squad to achieve outcomes within the Enterprise Payments Team.

As Product Owner, you will be joining the Enterprise Payments Team to drive excellence in NAB’s domestic account-to-account payment capability across the business.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Partnering with the Engineering Manager to take joint ownership of squad outcomes, ensuring delivery is aligned to customer needs, business priorities and NAB standards
- Leading and facilitating effective squad cadences, and coordinating with other Squad Product Owners and/or Delivery Leads to optimise end‑to‑end customer journeys
- Collaborating with squad members to shape features and user stories, defining clear acceptance criteria and definitions of done that reflect customer value and measurable outcomes
- Making timely, evidence‑based day‑to‑day decisions that enable progress, engaging Business Outcome Owners as required to balance customer impact, risk and delivery
- Working closely with the squad to manage and deliver a prioritised backlog, actively participating in all Agile ceremonies to maintain momentum and focus on customer outcomes
- Proactively communicating with stakeholders beyond the squad to provide clear updates, manage dependencies and support the delivery of customer‑focused outcomes
- Build your leadership capability through ongoing development, contributions to BAU product management and broader domain delivery activities to support strong customer outcomes
What you will bring:
- Strong understanding of financial products from a business or technology perspective, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, simple customer outcomes
- Demonstrated experience mobilising and enabling cross‑functional, self‑managing teams to deliver outcomes that improve customer and colleague experiences
- Deep experience with Agile ways of working, applying human‑centred design principles to ensure solutions are grounded in customer needs and real user problems
- Ability to define and communicate a clear product vision informed by customer insights, shaping it into a prioritised backlog of features, user stories and goals aligned to domain cadence
- Proven capability to drive alignment across product, technology and business by interpreting target‑state architecture and Domain roadmaps through an end‑to‑end customer lens
- Comfortable in a leadership role, facilitating discovery and delivery workshops that balance customer value, risk, operability and delivery constraints
- A strong customer‑obsessed mindset, demonstrating curiosity, adaptability and continuous improvement based on feedback, data and changing customer expectations
- Proven analytical and evidence‑based decision‑making skills, using customer, operational and delivery metrics to inform priorities and trade‑offs
- Solid project delivery capability and understanding of the software development lifecycle, with accountability for delivering reliable, simple and intuitive customer experiences
