In This Head of AML, CTF & Fraud Risk Steward (UBank) Role, You Will:

  • Advise and challenge the UBank on all aspects of AML/CTF and Fraud matters.
  • Advise and guide in setting risk appetite (cascaded by the group), and ensure action plans are in place where outside of risk appetite or risk tolerance.  
  • Monitor risk appetite settings and tolerances.
  • Provide policy guidance, definition, and interpretation assistance, and perform oversight activities.
  • Provide an assessment of risks in business initiatives and projects. 
  • Check and challenge the effective implementation of obligations and controls of UBank to have met the Policy, Program and/or related Standards.
  • Take senior leadership responsibility for a team of eight people.

What You Will Bring:

  • Significant experience working at the Head Of and/or Senior Manager level within a corporate and dynamic environment.
  • Professional experience in Financial Crime, Compliance, Risk Management within financial services.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of AML/CTF and Fraud regulatory frameworks applicable to Australian Banking.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to influence Executive level stakeholders. 
  • Strong financial analysis, interpretation, and complex problem-solving skills.
