In this Associate Director, Controls & Compliance Monitoring role, you will:
- Support the Manager and Head Of to execute control testing and compliance monitoring activities, particularly with respect to knowledge of Technology related compliance and regulatory environment.
- Provide SME knowledge in developing approaches and execution of automated controls, continuous monitoring and other technology related risk and controls matters.
- Coach and develop Senior Associate’s knowledge with respect to how controls are being assessed against risks and regulatory compliance obligations.
- Identification of pragmatic thematic observations and form conclusions on the effectiveness of regulatory compliance.
- Manage and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to effectively influence outcomes and resolve escalations for issues/challenges raised by the team.
- Provide strategic input and continuous improvement mindset to enhance control testing, obligation monitoring, risk management practices and internal operational excellence.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in Technology Audit, Control Assurance or Risk Management related roles within Financial Services.
- Experience in leading and executing Assurance/Compliance Monitoring processes and testing programs either on a project basis or as part of a function within a large financial institution.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, industry best practice and control methodologies relating to Financial Services Technology environments.
- Ability to coach and develop teams.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), stakeholder management, influencing and negotiating abilities and time management.
- Strategic, delivery and outcome focus mindset.
