As an Associate Director within our Finance, Change and Enablement division, you will support the Corporate and Institutional Banking Head of Finance Enablement & Change in executing against their key regulatory and business enabling priorities across the Market Domain. The main objective of this role is to assess the readiness of Finance to operate a FRTB compliant framework.

In this Associate Director role, you will

  • Simplify and modernise the accounting and finance outcomes for Markets Products including Loans and Deposits and Derivatives
  • Strong understanding of Basel 3 regulatory requirements and application to Finance and Risk.
  • Process mapping creation for FRTB complaint operating model and exception management.
  • Support the Markets domain projects, specifically FRTB through analysis, design, build, test responsibilities.
  • Identification and delivery of opportunities to improve both Finance and Market domain more broadly.
  • Manage the project of work to deliver a solution that meet business requirements and realises benefits within agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
  • Direct the identification, monitoring, reporting and escalation of risks and issues and/or problems associated with the project, including challenging and influencing the head of finance and additional stakeholders.

What you will bring

  • Profound experience in project optimisation role with Risk or Finance.
  • Strong inter-personal skills to develop relationships within a variety of stakeholders across Finance, and influence stakeholders to drive an improvement in the quality of reporting.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders across Risk/Finance/Domain.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision.
  • Agile approach to analysis & problem solving – able to source and use relevant information (internal and external) to identify problems and offer sustainable solutions.
  • Substantial experience working with Markets Finance teams both in a run and change capacity.
  • Degree qualified in Finance or Risk discipline CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) an advantage but not essential.
