In the role of Senior Associate, Deal Structuring, for Sydney, you will join the Emerging Corporate & Origination division.

The team leverage their deep industry knowledge, and credit structuring expertise to deliver high quality, consistent and credible service offering for new to bank customers.

As a Senior Associate you are technically adept at running and managing complex credit relationships Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis on new-to-bank prospects and existing clients to drive business growth and retention. Our clients typically have debt requirements of ~$20m - $80m with turnover up to $500m and are largely unsecured.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

• Driving the credit preparation process, including financial modelling, analysis, risk and structuring.
• Ensure accurate client management across all systems ensuring risk settings and policies are maintained.
• Supporting deals, to drive the credit submission, pricing, negotiations, and documentation.
• Being a key point of contact and co-ordination across numerous stakeholders (including but not limited to customers, advisors, product, legal, policy, financial crime, ESG and credit risk teams).
• Delivering exceptional customer experience and advocacy.
• Provide support to Associate Director Deal Structuring

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll be doing:
Analyse and prepare detailed Lending Submissions in conjunction with the Emerging Corporate Relationship Teams, Associate Deal Structuring and Associate Director Deal Structuring, that includes:

• Completion of all formal New to bank, Increased and Annual Review submissions for exposures that have been classified within the Emerging Corporate exposures. File activities include:
• End to end Credit submission preparation.
• Preparation or Client Evaluation.
• Industry and Benchmarking Analysis.
• Financial Analysis including Sensitivities.
• Primary & Secondary Exit Analysis.
• Risk rating to ensure correct risk profile is reflected.
• Covenant Reporting confirmation / explanation.
• Hold your own DCA (Delegated Commitment Authority) for joint recommendation of submissions with Associate Direct & Credit Partners
• Coaching, mentoring and development around large and complex operations and financial analysis to improve knowledge and capability
• Analysing and researching a wide range of Diversified Industries to improve knowledge
• Proactively manage risk and meet all policy and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to Revenue and ROE growth: in line with PU; Including pricing considerations as part of file completion / approval to ensure exposure is providing appropriate returns based on tenor and crs.
• Risk and compliance management: in line with PU. Through attention to early warning signs including crs deterioration & market / industry disturbances.
