In the role of Product Owner – Payments Platform Modernisation, you will join the Enterprise Payments team that’s doubling down on keeping it simple.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Define and execute the product vision, strategy and roadmap for a critical high-value payments platform supporting international and cross-border payments.
- Lead end-to-end product delivery, translating business priorities into actionable initiatives, features and outcomes.
- Drive large-scale payments transformation, including cloud adoption, API enablement and ISO 20022 modernisation initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders across business, technology, operations, risk and compliance to deliver secure, resilient and customer-focused payment solutions.
- Oversee Agile delivery across multiple teams, managing prioritisation, backlog refinement, release planning and delivery execution.
- Ensure platform delivery meets regulatory, governance, security and risk management requirements across a complex banking environment.
- Coordinate dependencies across enterprise programs, vendors and global teams to deliver strategic outcomes and operational excellence.
- Champion operational resilience by supporting production readiness, incident management, disaster recovery and continuous platform optimisation.
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Proven experience defining and delivering product strategy, roadmaps and outcomes for complex technology products within banking or financial services.
- Deep knowledge of high-value and international payments, including SWIFT, RTGS, cross-border payments and payment processing ecosystems.
- Strong Agile product leadership skills, with experience managing backlogs, prioritising work and leading delivery across multiple teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption, API enablement and payments modernisation.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business and technology functions.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, risk, compliance and operational resilience requirements within a banking environment.
- Ability to navigate complex environments, balancing customer needs, business priorities, risk considerations and technology outcomes.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale delivery through cross-functional teams, vendors and strategic partners to achieve measurable business outcomes.
