Fantastic opportunity to be responsible for leading the newly established Group Investigations, Office of Investigations Transformation and Excellence (OITE). Group Investigations is NAB’s specialised capability responsible for conducting sensitive, complex and protracted investigations and supporting functions to reduce NAB’s exposure to serious financial crime, external fraud, serious misconduct (non-workplace behaviour), bribery, corruption, internal fraud and insider crime risks. The successful applicant will lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team of ~20 professionals that that play a crucial role supporting and enabling the broader Group Investigations team. Performs the following functions to reduce NAB’s risks related to financial crime, serious external fraud, serious misconduct (non-workplace behaviour), bribery, corruption, internal fraud and insider crime:
The OITE supports NAB Group Investigations by:
- Leading and managing investigations triage, assessment, monitoring and reporting obligations.
- Recording and reporting enterprise risks, controls and regulatory compliance issues identified during Group Investigations case work.
- Leading and managing strategic change and investigations transformation including project management and delivery related to annual investment slate initiatives.
- Leading recruitment and workforce management including training, professional development, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Provide the single point of entry and exit for all referrals to and reporting from Group Investigations. This includes:
- ensuring case referrals to Group Investigations are triaged, prioritised, assigned and investigation progress monitored to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements and compliance obligations.
- Providing strategic and operational reporting for the Board, ELT, Senior Leaders and Risk committees.
- Maintaining and enforcing demanding quality standards for all work outputs delivered by Group Investigations.
- Deliver workforce management, professional development and financial compliance services for Group Investigations. What are the tasks or activities which this role is responsible each day?
- Lead and manage investigations transformation and change initiatives including project management and delivery of the Group Investigations annual investment slate.
We are looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in an applicable field including financial crime, change and reporting.
- Substantial experience working at a senior leadership level within a national or global organisation in a investigations capacity.
- Demonstrated experience at leading investigation triage
