In the role of an Architect, Merchant Services, you will join a team that’s doubling down on owning it and moving with speed.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Strategic technology alignment – Ability to establish and communicate a clear technical rationale for initiatives, ensuring alignment to business priorities and outcomes. Strong understanding of customer, colleague and business problems, opportunities, and dependencies across enterprise technology initiatives.
- Feature definition and shaping – Experience defining discrete, deliverable features based on required capabilities, technologies, systems and components, ensuring alignment to target architecture and service backlogs.
- Feature sequencing and planning – Ability to prioritise and sequence feature delivery to maximise customer and business value, balancing business priorities, service readiness and cross-service outcomes.
- Cross-service and enterprise impact management – Expertise identifying and managing initiatives that span multiple services, domains and architectures, ensuring end-to-end technology solutions that support enterprise delivery objectives.
- Technical debt management – Proven capability to identify, assess and quantify technical debt, evaluate remediation options, influence decision-making, and maintain effective tracking and governance of technical debt initiatives.

- Extensive experience within the technology industry, with a strong background in architecture, engineering and solution delivery.
- Proven experience in software development, solution design and modern engineering practices.
- Strong understanding and application of Agile delivery methodologies and ways of working.
- Experience delivering solutions across packaged, custom-built and third-party vendor technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business, project and technical teams while providing technical leadership and strategic direction.
