In the role of an Analyst Field Examiner, you will join the Invoice Finance Business Analyst team that’s doubling down on customer obsession.
Support the completion of Field Examinations, identify emerging risks, build trusted customer relationships and support strong compliance outcomes at NAB today.
The opportunity:
As a Business Analyst, Invoice Finance Field Exams, you will support the timely completion of field examinations across a designated state for customers using NAB’s Invoice Finance facilities. You will plan, schedule and conduct examinations—primarily at customers’ business premises—covering prospective facilities, periodic reviews and ad hoc requests. Using the field examination template and other available tools, you will provide analysis and insights that help identify abnormal or suspicious activity and support early risk escalation. You may also provide additional coverage nationally to ensure examinations are completed within policy, agreed service levels and quality standards.
In this role you will:
- Plan, schedule and execute high-quality field examinations across the Invoice Finance portfolio, including initial, periodic and ad hoc examinations.
- Apply strong operational discipline to meet service level agreements, quality standards, key risk indicators and performance targets.
- Manage risk and compliance effectively across all areas of responsibility, adhering to relevant policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Maintain strong working relationships and engagement with business partners and customers to ensure best outcomes are achieved whilst supporting NAB to monitor risks whilst maintaining strength across the control environment.
- Maintain a strong focus on the customer and their operating environment, escalating observations that differ from the normal running of the business.
- Proactively identify, analyse and escalate early warning signs, abnormal or suspicious activity, and other emerging risks identified during examinations.
- Provide management with analysis and insights to support informed decisions, influence outcomes and enable timely escalation where required.
What you will bring:
- Strong banking experience, including demonstrated capability in risk awareness, risk management and compliance.
- Experience with Invoice Finance products or similar relevant experience.
- Proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate with influence.
- Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Sound judgement, personal accountability and a problem-solving mindset.
- Experience in, or good knowledge of, audit functions; exposure to liquidation and insolvency matters is highly regarded.
- A tertiary qualification, ideally in finance, business or a related discipline.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity based in Mackay and the successful candidate will be required to travel for client meetings.
