In the role of Associate, Specialised Transaction Management, you will join NAB’s Corporate & Institutional Banking team that’s doubling down making a tangible difference to customers while keeping it simple.
The Associate, Specialised Transaction Management will play a pivotal role in managing and executing bespoke, specialised transactions within the Corporate Finance sector. This position is essential for delivering an efficient and exceptional service in structuring complex transactions. The incumbent will support the Asset Finance & Leasing division, coordinating the financing of assets for corporate and business clients, ensuring that operations are executed proficiently and in compliance with transaction documentation, relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Work with Associate Director and Senior Associates on deal execution of complex transactions, making sure obligations are met and documentation is accurate and on time.
- Maintain the accuracy if Transaction Events to ensure related covenants and obligations are actioned in accordance with transaction documents in their respective deadlines.
- You will bring the right people together, working with multiple stakeholders including Asset Finance and Leasing, Audit, Tax, Legal and other key teams, both internal and external to deliver seamless outcomes.
- You will work quickly and with purpose, actioning time-sensitive tasks and processing transaction inputs across systems like Office, SAP and Kapiti.
- You will look to find simple solutions by identifying process improvements, and contributing to clear, easy to follow instruction manuals.
We’re looking for the brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Skilled financial services/banking practitioner with extensive tertiary level accounting/finance knowledge.
- CA/CPA qualification would also be favourably regarded.
- Demonstrate sound technical knowledge and strong commercial application but possess a thirst to learn and be excited to embrace new learning opportunities.
- Advanced analytical aptitude and strong organisational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, intermediate computer skills in Excel & Word and demonstrating the ability to prioritise competing obligations.
- A high attention to detail with a capacity to 'see the big picture'.
- A 'can do' attitude and willingness to support their colleagues in a positive manner.
