As a pioneering leader who is passionate about growing and building relationships with customers, whilst balancing risk and delivering the right outcomes, the Business Banking Executive will own the overall performance of the team including customer outcomes, financial performance, operational management and meeting the rising community expectations of banks.
As the face of NAB, you will role model NAB’s values and behaviours in the community and leverage a deep understanding of the local market and broader industry trends.
As the Business Banking Executive, you will
- Lead and support the Bankers in my team to grow existing relationships and build new relationships with customers whilst balancing risk and delivering the right outcomes.

- Is to own the overall performance of my geography including customer outcomes, financial performance, operational management and meeting the rising community expectations of banks.
- Drive efficiencies and effectiveness across the team, business partners and overall value chain
- As a leader, I will co-create initiatives across the operating model to optimise customer service by collaborating broadly across NAB with specialists and partners.
The role and day to day will also include:
- Planning a geographic approach for business development activities
- Coaching the team on customer interactions, credit decision making and risk management
- Thinking broadly within defined strategies and policies to meet business needs.
- Holding monthly 1:1 development and performance conversations; supporting team members’ career pathways
- Fostering key local business and commercial relationships with a focus on building the NAB brand in the community.
- Collaborating with your Colleagues to ensure regional best practice success and learnings are recognised and celebrated.
- Collaborate with all internal key stakeholders to leverage the right balance of specialisation in my region.
- Embedding a disciplined operating rhythm and making sure my team understands the practices and policies to keep the bank safe.
- Actively champion strategic transformation agenda and change runway initiatives as they land into my business.
What you will bring
- Significant banking background in either business, private, corporate, credit, or specialised business (Health advantageous), or equivalent professional experience in a related career.
- Depth and breadth of leadership of a team, ideally with functional and professional diversity.
- Experience in both strategy development and execution
- Experience in building own and enterprise brand in the external market.
- Leadership in driving People and Change management initiatives
