The Head of Sourcing, Enabling Units, is a strategic leader responsible for driving procurement initiatives and managing supplier relationships that align with NAB’s business objectives and our customer obsession.

This role involves close collaboration with the NAB’s Enabling Units division to ensure that sourcing strategies effectively support divisional goals while enhancing operational efficiency and promoting sustainable practices.

In this Head of role, you will

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of key suppliers while nurturing strong partnerships with existing vendors to meet the evolving needs of Enabling Units.
  • Develop and execute sophisticated sourcing strategies that leverage market insights to deliver cost savings and enhance value for the business division.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders in the division to understand their specific requirements and align sourcing strategies with divisional objectives, ensuring a seamless integration of procurement processes.
  • Proactively assess supplier risks and implement robust strategies to mitigate potential disruptions, ensuring continuity and reliability in the supply chain.
  • Ensure all sourcing activities adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, driving excellence in procurement processes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Champion sustainable sourcing initiatives that align with corporate social responsibility goals, working to enhance the company’s reputation and commitment to environmental stewardship.

What you will bring

  • Expertise in negotiating complex contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms and pricing.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance, market conditions, and cost structures, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with procurement and sourcing software, data analytics tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a strong track record of managing high performing teams.
  • Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices and industry trends is highly desirable.
  • Experience operating effectively and delivering consistent results.
  • Competence in identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing strategies to mitigate them effectively.
