As a Senior Manager, Distinguished Engineer, you will be part of the Financial Crime Technology (FCT) Leadership Team, reporting directly to Executive Leadership in Technology, Financial Crime and Fraud, in this role you will:

• Align and enable how services are delivered to customers, including the technology vision for the roadmap, the technical components and the optimal method of delivery, in co-ordination with the Heads of Technology
• Partner with Heads of Technology to establish and deliver technical engineering capabilities including the execution of a simpler, more resilient and flexible technology capability for the technology systems and processes across the Domain
• Drive key technical decision making across the domain, utilising and championing innovative solutions which also meet compliance and non-functional criteria
• Think broadly within defined strategies and adapt to changing priorities, emerging technologies and evolving operational requirements to determine the appropriate technology solutions to deliver optimal outcomes
• Draw on engineering capability and build a high performance (virtual or physical) team to deliver services to customers and colleagues across dimensions of product, process, data and technology
• Support continuous improvement of service maturity through the API and service enablement, cloud service offerings, open-source capability, workforce talent attraction and retention
• Embed a world class services model for planning, building and running technology to achieve a simpler, agile and cost-effective experience for customers and users, and that executes change quickly, consistently and efficiently
• Lead a matrix team of technologists, engineering managers, solution designers, technical analysts, service compliance and quality engineers

What you will bring:

• Seasoned, best in class, hands on technologist who can balance delivery outcomes with cutting edge, best practice technologies to achieve exceptional outcomes for the domain, customers and NAB as a whole
• Experience with effectively engaging a wide array of senior stakeholders necessary to deliver transformational change at all levels of business, operations and technology 
• A track record of balancing transformational change and business requirements to achieve organisational goals and objectives
• A passion for technology including keeping up with latest trends as well as the desire to read and write code and demonstrate excellence
• Ability to apply; and experience and knowledge in Data Science, Machine Learning and/or GenAI capabilities
• Hands on technology depth and breadth associated with Financial Crime and Fraud; along with a solid knowledge of Financial Crime systems, obligations and control environments preferred
• Demonstrated experience in delivering modern, service oriented, cloud native architectures including event driven architectures, API enabling core applications to enable service access and integration with minimal impact on core system change
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen coupled with the ability to demonstrate evidence-based decision making
• Demonstrated history of leading and building large scale, cross functional, multi-disciplined technology teams
