Cross skill with other team members to eliminate key person risk and ensure continuity of service as Physical Security delivers Critical A processes. Tasks include data collection and analysis, reporting and risk assessment coordination.

As Consultant, Protective Security, you will
- Apply relevant specialist knowledge and experience to understand, influence and advise internal and/or external clients. Functions including the use of discretion/delegation and authority may be carried out within clearly defined policies, principles, and specific objectives; and may include people leadership roles with leadership accountability for a team, or teams, of colleagues. Colleagues are responsible for the delivery of work, but accountability may sit at a higher level.
- Support the Manager, Protective Security to provide security advice and guidance to colleagues relating to executive protection, travel security, security incidents, emergency management, and event security;
- Conduct security risk assessments and apply controls to mitigate identified risks;
- Lead intelligence gatherings and interrogation of information sources to conduct threat assessments;
- Ensure NAB’s emergency management posture is compliant across all NAB locations;
- Review data relating to security incidents and develop response to trends;
- Identify, evaluate, and monitor risks that could affect business activities and provide timely insights and information to assist decision making; and
- Provide real-time security incident management, participating in internal and external led forums.
Your skills and experience:
- Proven experience in responding to critical incidents, risk management or protective security.
- Understanding of law enforcement processes and the ability to liaise with law enforcement;
- Proven experience in conducting security risk assessments and a thorough understanding of risk assessment standards
- An understanding of the internal security environment, protecting travellers internationally and impacts of international security incidents on NAB.
- Experience in proving guidance on personal safety, workplace, family or domestic violence situations;
- Proven ability in applying security risk management principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication techniques.
- Advanced analytical and intelligence collection capability.
- Demonstrate experience in police/government liaison.
- Enhanced ability in conducting security risk assessments.
- Advanced use of OSINT.
- Ability to proactively detect threats based off trend analysis.
- Strong understanding of emergency management standards.
