In this role, you will:
- Take on a technical development & support role within the Acquiring & Switching team.
- Play a key role in the delivery, design, development, integration and maintenance of a new HICAPS technical service. Together we will continue building and operationalising a platform to service customers, merchants, health-providers.
- Taking guidance from the Principal Engineer, set standards for design, process, and tech workload allocation within the scrum team. Ensures sufficient design guidance exists at story kick-off.
- Production Support – the role requires the successful applicant to be on primary support for critical payments applications no more than 1 week out of 6.
What you will bring:
- Extensive experience in:
- Java 17 with sprint boot framework
- building modern front-end experiences using React.js framework
- node.js or java based applications
- Apache Kafka, Harness
- developing on AWS / Azure Cloud services
- working with both SQL databases and DB schemas is desired
- Experience with JSON Automated unit testing using tools such as Karma, Protractor, Selenium, etc.
- Experience with the following also strongly preferred: Java 11, Spring Boot, RDBMS (ideally Postgres, Oracle), Webservices (REST/SOAP), Apache Camel, Docker, SCM (Git), BDD (JBehave/Cucumber), & Unit Testing (Junit 5, Mockito).
