The role:

The Trade & Working Capital (TWC) team provides ongoing management of our existing customers for invoice and trade finance, working closely with our Bankers across multiple business segments (Metro Business, Agribusiness & Private Bank).

Working within the Trade & Working Capital team, the Specialised Banking Manager (Account Manager) is responsible for managing a multi-product portfolio (i.e. Invoice Finance & International Trade Finance). Focusing on the retention and growth of existing customer relationships. You will actively work with Bankers and Customers, being responsible for your own portfolio, engaging with customers to deliver the best NAB solutions to meet their needs.  You will work to create a presence and high level Trade Working Capital product understanding and awareness within the organisation as well as the business marketplace whilst managing and ensuring customers payment risk, delivery risk and sanctions obligations are compliant and managed appropriately. 

As a Specialised Banking Manager, Account Manager you will:

  • Monitor TWC facilities to ensure the customer’s needs are ongoingly met and facility limits are appropriate based on their cash flow requirements.
  • Enhance the customer experience by providing excellent service through meeting existing customers and explaining the procedures and operation of TWC products and services.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is enhanced through relationship management, proactive calling and identifying opportunities to improve services and provide customer efficiencies.
  • Working closely with the Business Banking Centre and Bankers.
  • Active involvement in managing risk.
  • Drive and deliver positive contribution to overall team engagement.

What you will bring!

We are ideally looking for a candidate with banking experience who is looking to learn about working capital solutions and how we apply this to assist our clients to support and grow with them. Experience in working capital solutions would be preferable, with a focus on strong relationships to deliver insights to support across this area.   In addition, you will have:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills and actively engage with clients and bankers
  • An understanding of financial metrics and understand of the supply chain
  • You are comfortable to facilitate presentations to bankers and customers and are able to have a sound operating rhythm
