The role:

Last year, NAB announced the acquisition of Citigroup's Australian consumer business. Citigroup Australia is known for its credit card business, deposits business, mortgages and dedicated private wealth business. The acquisition supports NAB's strategic growth ambition for Personal Banking, helping the bank achieve its goals faster as it drives toward being Australia's best Personal Bank. NAB mobilised an integration team to support the transition of Citigroup Australia into NAB's Personal Banking Division and subsequent amalgamation of both businesses.

Joining the Citi-Branded Consumer Business team, you will be part of a critical program of work.

Senior Product Manager will develop and lead the development and delivery of new partnership opportunities.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have experience in building and delivering partnerships to drive business growth and product development. This includes commercial and contractual negotiations, operational model design, and managing internal approvals.

The candidate must have a strong controls and risk management mindset with an appreciation that their role is critical in ensuring compliance of NAB obligations with our external partners.

 

The role and day to day will include:

  • New partner negotiation & onboarding: build out and manage the partnership pipeline, including commercial negotiations, onboarding and execution. Support due diligence and partnership assessment.
  • Partner assessment & approvals: work closely with key stakeholders including risk, data and analytics, legal, finance and operations to complete due diligence and assess potential partnerships.
  • Risk & Data enhancements: work closely with our risk, data and analytics team to optimise our pricing and customer onboarding strategy with a focus on simplicity, rationalisation and efficiency across teams.

 

What you will bring:

  • Strong background in working in product and commercial areas, and working with external partners.
  • Proven track record of quickly establishing and maintaining strong, positive working relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders internally and, external partnership management.
  • Accustomed to managing multiple deadlines, but also comfortable when priorities shift.
  • Previous working environment where stakeholders such as Controls, Risk or similar is a key stakeholder.
