Our Energy business focuses on financing for electricity retailers, transmission and distribution network service providers as well as generation assets such as renewable energy.
Our Resources business focuses on financing resources, commodities and mining customers. Any experience in technical, geology, metallurgy or mining engineering will be valued or any experience working in an engineering consultancy or in the mining industry working with customers.
Corporate Finance: Client Management & Execution (CME)
Corporate Finance is responsible for all financing activity in Corporate & Institutional Bank (C&IB). We manage the balance sheet for C&IB, while providing financing solutions for our customers across diversified sectors. Our Client Management & Execution (CME) Team partner Client Coverage and Product Specialist teams with the aim of driving business growth and efficiently delivering an excellent experience for clients.
This role will give you an opportunity to continue developing your credit risk and financial analysis skills, client relationship management skills, and enable you to play a key role in driving superior client outcomes and delivering world class client relationships.
Alternative Assets covers the Energy/Utilities, Resources and Infrastructure sectors including Project Finance, Asset Finance and Leasing customers. Providing solutions across the C&IB product suite including loans, derivatives (Interest Rate, FX, Commodity), capital markets, working capital and transactional products. The client set includes listed, private, multinational and special purpose project vehicles with complex capital requirements and business profiles.
Day to day you will:
- Assist in structuring transactions: Preparing credit submissions, employing financial modelling where required and making recommendations on transactions to senior management and Credit
- Manage the risk profile: Through monitoring and adhering to compliance requirements of a client portfolio, ensuring portfolio hygiene is of a high standard
- Oversee workflow management between key stakeholders: Client Coverage, CME, Product Specialists, Credit and client support teams, to achieve a seamless client experience
- Proactively support Client Coverage and Specialised Finance : By identifying new clients, generate valued client and industry insights and business opportunities
- Coach Associates and Analysts: Through exemplary behaviours and role modelling
- Contribute to the Corporate Finance 5 initiatives: Customers, Team, Shareholders, Community and Innovation, through involvement in Corporate Finance initiatives beyond the everyday role.
About you:
We’re keen to hear from applicants who have been crafting their skills in credit writing and execution in the Institutional / Investment banking environment. Coupled with experience in transactional structuring and financial markets products, all industry, financial analysis , customer facing experience is appreciated. Underpinned by your strong product, regulatory and compliance policy knowledge, you bring credibility in the way you have been building your skills in portfolio management including active management of back book exposures and are looking to further your skills in transaction execution and new to bank opportunities.
Your emerging leadership skills, with a reputation for working hard to secure stakeholders’ sponsorship and support to achieve business objectives and outcomes has paved the way for accelerating your next move at NAB. Anchored to this will be your demonstrated tenacity and resilience to push forward with setbacks, and coach members of the team by scaffolding their journey within CM&E.
