The Role:

This role is focussed on Service Management - the name given to the processes and tools used to manage technology incidents, changes, problems, data and disaster recovery. You will already be familiar with these tools and processes and will build your knowledge in this role to support Service Owners, Product Owners, and the Engineering Manager to ensure that the Legacy Reporting Platforms continue to provide service to our stakeholders, and we meet regulatory requirements.

The role and Day to day will include:

  • Review and redesign of processes or procedures, on an ongoing basis, to deliver improved team productivity or efficiency.
  • Monitoring progress of requests and ensuring users and other interested parties are kept informed. Take corrective action to avoid or minimise delays. 
  • Accountable for the development of conceptual system design for a small system or sub-system · Contribute to the estimation of project requirements · 
  • Work with key contacts to develop detailed program specifications from system or functional specifications to enable effective development of programs 
  • Use technical specifications, requirements, standards, and procedures to develop / modify structured code to produce quality programs as part of an application development or problem resolution activity.
  • Conduct post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of the Technology solution provided.
  • Ensure all work within area of responsibility is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures to ensure information retention and re-use

Experience

  • Environment management experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in Experience platform support
  • Experience in communicating with and influencing peers and stakeholders
  • Expertise in designing and building maintainable and scalable end to end data solutions
