The Role:

Our Perth team are looking for an experienced Senior Business Banking Manager to join the team to manage and grow a portfolio of professional services clients.

This opportunity will see you focusing on the management of an existing SME-Mid-Market-Emerging Corporate client base whilst fostering strong referral sources, community links and new business partnerships. The professional services team have an array of clients and customer segments some of which include, Real Estate, Accounting, Law Firms, Financial Planning, Insurance and Brokers.

Notwithstanding the above, should you bring a slightly different network i.e., non-professional, we’d love to see your application!

In turn, you will work with a highly collaborative team with extensive and vast knowledge, education, and backgrounds. We value each other’s opinions and perspectives and enables us to think outside the box and build a growth mindset to better our business and our customers!

Day to day you will:

  • Assess economic value and risk potential of new business.
  • Educate customers about their business options and providing sound advice about risk and opportunities for growth.
  • Proactively leveraging networks of internal and external contacts to help identify new referral opportunities to NAB’s range of specialist teams.
  • Implement initiatives to support customer acquisition in the local market.
  • Talk to customers about their proposed annual business plans.
  • Prepare and submit customer lending proposals with the support of our associate team.
  • Work with internal specialists to best serve your customers.

To be considered for this role, ideally you will possess:

  • Strong prior demonstrated experience within business banking and/or credit assessment.
  • Significant banking background in either business, private, corporate, credit, or specialised business, or equivalent professional experience in a related career.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business and commercial practices with significant emphasis on sales, lending, credit assessment and control experience.
  • Proven track record of quickly establishing and maintaining strong, positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders internally and externally.
  • A commitment to strong risk culture, conduct and compliance risk.
  • Business related degree and/or post-graduate professional qualification is preferred.
