We currently have two opportunities available to join Internal Audit within the Corporate & Institutional Bank (C&IB) and Treasury team on a 12-month secondment/fixed-term basis. The purpose of this role is to support the planning, execution and reporting of Audit activity as set out in the Audit Charter and the annual Audit Plan.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Behave in line with NAB’s values.
  • Plan and project manage delivery of audits within agreed resource and time budgets.
  • Efficient delivery and documentation of quality audit workpapers in the systems of record, including walkthroughs, control identification, control design assessments and control operating effectiveness testing.
  • Efficient verification of audit raised issues within internal SLA targets once the business indicate issues are complete, supported by quality workpapers.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to promote a performance and development culture.
  • Form effective working relationships with business contacts during audits so information can be gathered, facts verified and escalate delivery problems where they cannot be directly solved.
  • Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified.

What you will bring:

  • Markets and Treasury experience is beneficial;
  • Solid understanding of various risk types spanning multiple areas of the bank;
  • Sound understanding of processes and key controls, utilising data to support rationale;
  • Be highly organised with an ability to work autonomously to meet timeframes;
  • Proven experience with stakeholder engagement and management;
  • Years in financial services risk-based functions or internal audit in professional services firms; and
  • Tertiary qualified, preferably with Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or IT.
