As a StarCamp Intern in Technology, you’ll join NAB’s intensive 10-week face-to-face Internship, designed to kick start your career in Technology Engineering. 

You’ll build hands‑on capability through a structured learning program and real project work, supported by experienced engineers and leaders. As part of the recruitment process, you may be asked to complete a coding assessment, depending on your skills and background. 

Through strong partnerships with Australian universities, technology training providers, and industry partners, NAB offers hands‑on, real‑world project experience—giving you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully from day one. 

What you’ll be doing 

During StarCamp, you will: 

• Create, build, and support technology solutions across key NAB initiatives and projects. 
• Learn NAB engineering fundamentals through a curated mix of instructor‑led sessions and self‑paced learning. 
• Work on a capstone project, applying what you’ve learned to solve real‑world problems. 
• Design and develop solutions that enhance the customer experience. 
• Grow your professional skills through feedback, coaching, and support from leaders and mentors. 
• Work towards industry recognised Cloud certifications

Location 

Melbourne (face‑to‑face for the full program duration) 

Program Start Date 

The 2026 StarCamp Internship will commence on Monday 23rd November 2026 and end on Friday 12th February 2027. This includes 2-weeks unpaid leave over the Christmas and New Year Festive season break. 

What Happens Next? 

Upon successful completion of this intake, exceptional NAB StarCamp Graduates may be offered a permanent role in our NAB Emerging Tech Talent Program, which includes two longer term business rotations across our teams to build breadth and depth of capability.  

The Emerging Tech Talent Program begins on Monday 15th February 2027 and ends on Friday 26th May 2028. At the completion of the Emerging Tech Talent Program, you will roll off into a Permanent role in Technology.   

• At NAB, our Emerging Tech Talent Program is open to those who have completed their certificate, diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate degree no more than one year prior to the program start date, or those in their final year of study.  
• To be eligible for this program, you must be able to make a full-time commitment to NAB’s StarCamp Bootcamp. 
• To be eligible for this program, you must be based in Melbourne permanently. 
• There is no option to defer your Emerging Tech Talent offer.

Eligibility  

To be eligible to apply, you must: 

• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizenship or be an Australian Permanent Resident at the time of applying.  
• Be in your final stages of study (including penultimate year where you can commit to the program dates), or have completed your certificate, diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate degree no more than one year prior to the program start date. 
• Be able to commit full‑time onsite for the 10‑week StarCamp Internship 
• Be based permanently in Melbourne.
