In the role of Director, Business Development, you will join the Growth & Origination team that’s doubling down on customer obsession.

The Growth and Origination team was established to provide a differentiated service proposition for larger, complex, specialised credits in Emerging Corporate and Corporate and Institutional Banking.
The deal team leverage their deep industry knowledge, and credit structuring expertise to deliver high quality, consistent and credible service offering for new to bank customers.
The teams corporate finance skills are leveraged by Corporate Bankers in the provision of a unique and trusted advisor relationship.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Originating New to Bank Clients via internal & external networks across industry
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on new-to-bank prospects with typically debt requirements of ~$20m - $500m across a range of specialised and diversified industries
  • Establishing and maintaining valued referral partner relationships, internal & external
  • Supporting deal team to drive the credit submission, pricing, negotiations, and documentation
  • Being a deal lead and co-ordinate across numerous stakeholders (including but not limited to customers, advisors, product, legal, policy, financial crime, ESG and credit risk teams)
  • Delivering exceptional customer experience and advocacy
  • Supporting research and networking opportunities across sectors, products with a view to acquire new to bank clients
  • Working with deal team to train, coach and develop new entrants and existing staff

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

  • Extensive experience in financial services, in either business, private, corporate credit or specialised business
  • Possess strong skills in complex credit, cash flow lending, financial modelling, transaction structuring and documentation
  • A can-do attitude, a willing and proactive nature, backed up with determination and a will to win.
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • The ability to connect with clients and key internal stakeholders will make you a success in this role
