This is an exciting role programming NAB’s mainframe systems!

  • Bring your deep experience in developing and configuring zOS to a brilliant security team
  • Work with technical teams and user groups to deliver effective mainframe solutions
  • Get involved in the continuous review and adoption of relevant tools and security frameworks to improve process and delivery of access control.

In the role of Systems Programmer - Mainframe z/OS, you will join a team within NAB’s Security group that’s doubling down on customer obsession and supporting our colleagues.

 

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Develop and configure NAB’s mainframe to maintain services to end users
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities and risk reduction initiatives across the bank’s mainframe computing enterprise
  • Provide and exercise security best practice in the undertaking of day-to-day responsibilities
  • Actively identify, report and implement risk remediation tasks as appropriate to the role
  • Ensure the provision of services meets agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Interact with audit and compliance personnel and deliver remediation as deemed appropriate
  • Mentor subordinate staff
  • Be recognised as ‘trusted advisor’ to the business

 

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

  • 10-15 years’ experience working in Mainframe
  • RACF experience
  • z/OS Software installation and configuration experience​
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • Storage management (DASD and Tape)
    • DB2
    • Performance Monitoring
  • SAS programming experience
  • Advanced Assembler JCL programming experience
  • ISPF (Interactive System Productivity Facility)
  • ISPF Dialogue Management Services
  • SDSF (Spool Display Search Facility)
