As part of its 3 year strategy, Finance Service & Operations (FS&O) is set to embark on an accelerated transformation programme to implement an integrated Operating Model and embed a professional enterprise culture. The Change function within FS&O has accountability for ensuring that the group is adequately prepared for these changes and experiences a smooth transition minimising risk and disruption to its business. Under the guidance of the Senior Change Manager, the Communications adviser will work within the Strategy & Service Delivery team to execute FS&O’s Communications Strategy & Approach. More specifically, the purpose of this role is to: - Provide guidance & advice to FS&O leaders on delivering effective and timely communications, - Facilitate the development and delivery of targeted communication within FS&O and outward to the business (includes offshore teams) - Develop and maintain FS&O’s Intranet (customer portal) and Sharepoint (internal staff) presences - Where required, work as embedded communications resource in FS&O’s lines of business or cross-team initiatives or where specific needs dictate, and - Connect with related programmes and initiatives to ensure integration and alignment Responsibilities: Develop and maintain FS&O’s communication plan and associated materials including running regular surveys and focus groups to assess efficacy Ensure the forward planning calendar is regularly updated and visible to all Under the guidance of the Senior Change Manager and FS&O LT, draft, co-ordinate approval and distribute internal communications including monthly email updates/newsletter Provide coordination and support for delivery of monthly team communications sessions (content, logistics, etc.) Development and maintenance oversight of the FS&O Intranet (to be developed), and central coordination point for FS&O’s Sharepoint (launched Feb 2010) Direct communications assistance for FS&O’s business units where specific needs exist Skills & Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Communications or a related discipline Minimum two years experience in a communications role working in either a corporate or a public relations agency Proven strong oral, written and electronic communication skills The ability to work both autonomously and in teams with good interpersonal and influencing skills Some experience in the Financial Services sector would be an advantage An understanding of internal stakeholder engagement and working with senior stakeholders High levels of initiative and enthusiasm Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills Attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining a high level of quality on all communications materials Highly organised and ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities Capable of taking on several projects at a time To be eligible to apply, you must have Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status.
